In Week 1 of Celebrity Apprentice the ladies seemed to have had a good concept going for the diner wars episode but were unorganized and displaced in many moments. However, the guys had celebrity chef, Curtis Stone who brought his culinary skills and whipped up some ever so tasty but expensive truffle burgers with prices starting out at $100. RockSolid’s team leader, Bret Michaels proved that he has a good head on his shoulders when he got his team organized by giving duties to each team member and putting his best asset (Curtis) front and center in the kitchen. Overall, this rock star was able to give the American Diabetes Association a $100,000. Bret Michaels stating, “God, I know I’ve done a lot of rotten things in my life but thank you for Curtis”
Obviously, another part of the celeb’s duties in these challenges is to call in the troops by contacting their celebrity friends to donate as much money as possible. The men did exactly that and got some big cash donations with the exception of ex Illinois governor, Rob Blogojevich (+1000 odds) that is. It seems Blogojevich will have to prove himself once and for all, as his team members don’t think so highly of him. “I have a lot of respect for these people because each one of them has obtained success in their given field and it’s an honor to be associated with all of them. But Rob Blogojevich? Not necessarily,” said Bill Goldberg.
The ladies fell short on the herding of their rich friends since there were few and far between making an appearance. Even with the Week 1 failure, the ladies seem to be the favorites with ruthless Sharon Osbourne being the clear favorite at +150 odds. Holly Robinson Peete and Bret Michaels just might have something going for them as well with both at +200 odds. In the end though, they just couldn’t bring in enough to avoid the boardroom elimination by Trump himself and Carol Leifer was the first one packing.
