American Idol 2010 Week 5 Eliminations & Predictions: The Final 10 will be chosen tonight at 9 PM EST on Fox and it’s those American Idol contestants who will be the ones to go on the American Idol tour. Go to BODOG.com to get off the current odds on your favorite American Idol contestants.
Last night has been stirring up some buzz with some of the great performances and the not so great performances. But another weird factor of Week 5 has gotten even more people talking. The previously announced theme was to be “Teen Idols” but was suddenly changed to “Billboard #1 Hits” over the weekend thus the possible reason for so many bad performances. There have been rumors flying of several possibilities of the last minute change such as the contestants were having trouble finding suitable songs or that Miley Cyrus didn’t like the theme because she’s been wanting to transition out of the teen scene. Whatever the reason, someone will be going home tonight to make the Final 10 go onto a whole new week.
Miley Cyrus, who was this week’s American Idol mentor, will be performing her new hit “When I Look at You” and bringing back guest judge Joe Jonas to perform “Make a Wave” with Demi Lovato. With the teen performances, America’s votes will be revealed and someone’s dreams of American Idol fame will be lost.
Who will be safe? Well I think it’s safe to say that Crystal Bowersox, Lee Dewyze, Michael Lynche, and the clear favorite, Siobhan Magnus at 3 to 1 odds won’t be going home tonight. Paige Miles at 50 to 1 odds was the worst performer last night and there’s a strong possibility that this girl won’t have enough fans or voters to get her out of this one. Even though Katie Stevens has been somewhat America’s sweetheart on the 9th season of American Idol, she came in this week on a sour note. We’ll have to see if she can survive another week to make it to the Top 10. Lastly, one of my favorites, Andrew Garcia (15 to 1 odds) just hasn’t been bringing his A game but I hope America decides to keep him around.
Tune in tonight at 9 PM EST to see who goes and who stays. You can get all the up to date odds on your favorites at BODOG.com:
