American Idol 2010 Predictions & Eliminations Week 6: Another American Idol hopeful will be leaving the bright lights and cheering audience as tonight is elimination night. It’s that time of the week again where millions will see if their votes kept their American Idol favorite safe for another week. Last night proved that people can change and once again get to that “great” moment. Andrew Garcia (25 to 1 odds) shined with his performance of Chris Brown’s “Forever”. I’m sure America will agree and keep this guy around to see what he’ll do for next week.
The two that keep bringing us great music week after week is Crystal Bowersox and Lee Dewyze. At 5 to 4 odds, Crystal sang “Midnight Train to Georgia” as she traded her trusty guitar for the piano. Simon stating, “Your choice of song was sensational”. It also seems as though Lee (7 to 1 odds) can’t screw it up either with his choice “Treat Her Like a Lady” by the Cornelius Brothers. Randy stating, “Unbelievable. Best I’ve heard you in weeks. Lee that was the bomb!”
Others that brought their A game was Casey James (15 to 2 odds) who sang Sam & Dave’s “Hold On, I’m Coming” and “Big Mike” Lynche (13 to 2 odds) singing “Ready for Love” by India Arie. Simon stated, “In my opinion, it was the strongest week you’ve had so far. I’m really really really impressed with you this week Casey.” And Kara on Big Mike, “I hate to admit that I’ve never heard that song until you chose it. I loved it! One of my favorite performances.”
Someone has to go home tonight but I think it’s safe to say that those talented singers won’t have to worry about that. Who does? Didi Benami (20 to 1 odds) did a piss poor job singing Jimmy Ruffin’s “What Becomes of the Broken Hearted” and it could get her sent packing. Tim Urban seems to always be getting through and I don’t know why. Does America really like him that much? You wouldn’t think so with 100 to 1 odds. Also, there’s a strong possibility that one of the favorites at 7 to 2 odds, Siobhan Magnus might be sitting in the hot seat as her performance of Chaka Khan’s “Through the Fire” just wasn’t up to par.
Watch tonight at 9 PM EST to see Usher and Justin Bieber perform as well as which American Idol hopeful America chooses to send home. You can get all the up to date odds on your favorites at Bodog.com:
