American Idol 2010 Idols Go To Vegas To Experience Elvis: Tonight was the night that the American Idol contestants needed to shine because two of these hopefuls will be sent home tomorrow night. The contestants were flown to Vegas to meet up with Season 8 Adam Lambert but also to experience Elvis Presley via Cirque Du Soleil. Tonight you always have to start with the best and in Week 8 American Idol did with Crystal Bowersox who comes in at 4 to 5 odds. She sang “Saved” with Simon commenting, “It was original. It sounded great. Congratulations and well done.” Another to add to the “obviously did well list” was Lee Dewyze (3 to 1 odds) who sang “A Little Less Conversation” and he rocked it. Randy said, “Dude, you are definitely in the zone. Very good.” The other that gave me goose bumps was Michael Lynche’s (9 to 1 odds) acoustic performance of “In the Ghetto”. Simon adding in, “It was a million billion times better than last week.”
I hate to say this but one of the ones that didn’t seem to bring it all to the American Idol stage was Andrew Garcia (25 to 1 odds) who sang “Hound Dog”. I think it was the wrong song for him and I hope it doesn’t get him eliminated tonight. Aaron Kelly (30 to 1 odds) added to the “not so great list” when he sang “Blue Suede Shoes” and Simon agreed by saying, “You didn’t make it young. It was very karaoke.”
