American Idol 2010 Week 8 Predictions & Eliminations: American Idol will be sending two of the hopefuls home in Week 8. Who do you think will be the two sent packing? Go to BODOG.com to get all of your current American Idol odds.
With no room for error, the American Idol contestants had to sing the songs of Elvis Presley last night. Two will be sent home tonight due to Michael Lynche’s save from last week. At 9 to 1 odds Big Mike proved to the judges that he deserved to be on that stage with his rendition of “In the Ghetto”. Did he prove it voters? I think it’s safe to say that Crystal Bowersox (4 to 5 odds) and Lee Dewyze (3 to 1 odds) has captured both the judges and America’s hearts and won’t be going anywhere this week. One that was a surprise was 75 to 1 odds Tim Urban who sang “I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You”. The judges seemed to be impressed with Simon stating, “That was beautiful. You have managed to go from zero to hero in two weeks. Although I don’t think he has what it takes to win, I’m thinking that his performance last night will get him through to next week.
I hate saying this but I think 25 to 1 odds Andrew Garcia might again be in the bottom three tonight after his performance of “Hound Dog”. Although Ellen DeGeneres liked it, Randy stated, Simon Cowell predicted this earlier but that was horrible karaoke.” We’ll see tonight what voters thought of his performance. 30 to 1 odds Aaron Kelly sang “Blue Suede Shoes” and I personally hated it. Simon thought the same, “You didn’t make it young and it was very karaoke.” Even though Siobhan Magnus (13 to 2 odds) started out the competition on a high note, things seems to be taking a turn for the worse especially after she sang “Suspicious Minds”. The judges all agreed with Simon commenting, “I thought the first part of the song was terrible. I kind of feel that we lost you a few weeks ago.”
Who do you think will be going home tonight? You’ll have to tune in at 9 PM EST on Fox to see Season 8 runner up Adam Lambert perform and which two won’t be returning next week. You can get all the up to date odds on your favorites at Bodog.com:
