Miss USA Runner Up Carrie Prejean Dating Michael Phelps? Carrie Prejean’s honest admission about her tough stance against same-sex marriages in the United States cost her the Miss USA crown.
Nevertheless, it appears that Miss California’s position on dating pot smoking/Olympic Gold Medalist, Michael Phelps, might be a bit more lenient, as various sources suggest there might be some romance. 
Various reports have been circulating, insinuating that the miss USA runner up and the record-breaking swimmer might very well be an item, something Phelps denied this week.
Jeanette Coppolla, Prejean's grandmother said the two are dating, “Carrie and Michael have been out to baseball games and lunch. He always calls her when he is in town and they go out," she said.
During the pageant last Sunday, host Billy Bush addressed the issue with Prejean, to which she offered a vague response at best. "That’s not appropriate to answer right now. He’s a great man… You can call me on a later day and we can talk about that," she said.
A few days after the reports began clogging the airwaves, Phelps himself denied all rumors. "I'm not dating anybody. I'm single. My private life stays private," Phelps said in an interview. When asked about his response to Prejean's controversial comments on gay marriage during the competition he said: "I'm not saying I support her … I'm not saying I don't support her."
