American Idol 2010 Idols Sing In Duets: Jamie Fox came to American Idol again in Season 9 to mentor the remaining four contestants. Go to BODOG.com to get all of the current odds on your American Idol favorites.

Tonight wasn’t a truly amazing night for the Season 9 American Idol contestants as their solo acts of Songsw of the Cinema came up short from past performances. With that said, the remaining four were matched up to perform a duet with each other on the American Idol stage and at the end of the night they redeemed themselves with their performances.

Lee Dewyze (1 to 1 odds) started out the show with Seal’s “Kiss From a Rose” I can honestly say that I think that may have been his worst performance to date. It wasn’t bad but it definitely wasn’t his best. The judges agreed with Randy stating, “For me you did nothing with that song. It didn’t work for me. It was just okay.” Michael “Big Mike” Lynche (15 to 1 odds) received the same response from the judges after his performance of Michael Jackson’s “Will You Be There” from the Free Willy soundtrack. Randy also stating, “I don’t know what’s going on tonight. I didn’t love this for you either. It just didn’t take off.” Rounding out the so-so performances in Week 12 was by Casey James (10 to 1 odds) who sang “Mrs. Robinson” by Simon & Garfunkel. Even though some of the judges were unimpressed, Ellen stated, “For me this is you fighting to stay in the competition. For me I thought this was a good choice for you.”

The one Idol contestant that seemed to have pleased the judges was the only female standing Crystal Bowersox (1 to 1 odds) who sang Kenny Loggin’s “I’m Alright” from the movie Caddy Shack. Simon commented, “I would say after that performance you Crystal are back in the game.” Although Crystal’s performance was a breath of fresh air, so was the duets the contestants performed together. Crystal was paired with Lee Dewyze and they sang “Falling Slowly” by Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova. I do have to say that their performance gave me goose bumps throughout the entire song. Simon would agree by saying, “I don’t know if I’d call that a good song. I’d call that a fantastic song!” Casey James and Michael Lynche continued the good duets with their performance of Bryan Adams’ “Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman”. Randy adding in after the performance, “I loved the guitar playing. Nice one!”

Tune in tomorrow night to see if Jamie Foxx performs on the American Idol stage and another American Idol contestant will be sent home. You can get all the up to date odds on your favorites at Bodog.com:

Casey James 10/1
Crystal Bowersox 1/1
