Miss USA 2010 Miss Iowa Katherine Anna Connors +1200: All had seemed to have been lost for Iowa when it came to the Miss USA pageant in past years but there’s actually hope in 2010 with Katherine Anna Connors competing in this Sunday’s competition. Go to SPORTSBOOK.com to get the current odds on all of the Miss USA contestants.
A lot has been placed on the shoulders of Miss Iowa especially since the state she loves hasn’t placed in the semi finals of the Miss USA pageant in nine years. However, this beauty has put a lot on herself as well with her main goal is to duplicate former Miss Iowa contestant and 1956 Miss USA winner Carol Morris’ success. Although she’s tried three times to acquire the Miss Iowa crown, she finally got it in that third try and is showing as one of the favorites at +1200 odds.
At 20 years old, Katherine is planning on pursuing a career as a surgical nurse after being accepted into the Nursing Program at Scott Community College where she’ll be studying for her RN license. Miss Iowa also volunteers for the non-profit organization Slida’s Club Noogieland program in which is a foundation that offers programs for children and teens who have been affected by cancer. She’s also on the National Bone Marrow Registry as well as the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center where she regularly donates blood. Katherine loves to travel and has admitted that she’s been very fortunate to travel to half of the states in the U.S. as well as 10 countries but will continue to do her part with community service and volunteering at special events.
Tune in at 7 PM EST to NBC to watch 2009 Miss USA Kristen Dalton crown the new Miss USA at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Make sure to check out SPORTSBOOK.com to get all of your favorite Miss USA contestants:
