22 year old Tucker Perry is coming in at 20 to 1 odds for the 2010 Miss USA competition this Sunday. Currently a student at Belmont University in Nashville, Miss Tennessee will be majoring in Commercial Music – Voice Performance. Along with her general classes, Tucker is also very busy with her schedule of voice lessons, music theory, and performance classes. She’s already appeared in music video’s of such artists like Taylor Swift and Martina McBride.
"It's such an honor to represent the state of Tennessee, “Tucker Perry said. “Six months after I was called as the winner at the state pageant, and I still can't believe that I'm Miss Tennessee."
As for charity, Tucker Perry has involved herself with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in her community and hopes to use her new title to continue to promote the importance of mentoring and raising awareness to bring positive influences in the lives of children across the globe. Miss Tennessee’s ultimate goal in life is to one day become a major recording artist to headline her own world tour and inspire others in the same way she has been inspired.
Miss Tennessee continued to say, "When I was 12 years old, I'd always looked up to Miss USA. She was such a role model. But now I recognize, as Miss Tennessee, that they are actual, real people. I'm just a girl from Franklin."
