Steve Slater had a court hearing Tuesday in Queens after being arrested at his home for his August 9th over the top exit from the JetBlue plane he was working on as a flight attendant. What caused his mental breakdown? Slater apparently flew off the deep end after a passenger that was on a flight from Pittsburgh to JFK proceeded to grab his bag from the overhead bin while the plane was still taxing and hit the 38 year old flight attendant in the process. The passenger reportedly refused to apologize and that’s when Slater blew. He made his way to the plane’s intercom to get his rage out to the other passengers, then continued to grab beer from the plane, and then slid down the plane’s emergency exit slide.
