Al Qaeda Makes Terrorist Threats to World Cup 2010: Members of extremist group Al-Qaeda have been spreading rumors around the internet claiming that the World Cup 2010 Games in South Africa will be a prime target for terrorist attacks. According to various reports, American and British soccer teams will be the main focus of the attacks, listed the June 12 United States vs England game as a top list of priorities for this global event.
“The game … is broadcast live. The stadium is full of a Crusader audience while the sound of a blast shocks the
stands and turns the stadium on its head. God willing, there will (be) dozens and hundreds of casualties. 50 grams alone are sufficient for such an operation,” reads a post on an online Jihadist magazine.
