Fluminense, Liga de Quito and Atlas AdvanceFluminense got their goal against Atletico Nacional in the 52nd minute to advance.  They have now won four straight at the Maracana in the Copa Libertadores this year.  They have won by a combined score of 10-0 in those four matches.

Liga got a goal by Luis Bolanos in the 25th minute that virtually put the match against Estudiantes away.  Since it was an away goal it was even more valuable because Liga led 3-0 on aggregate at that point.  Luis Alayes scored for Estudiantes in the 42nd minute and Ezequiel Maggiolo scored in the 65th minute but that was all the scoring. Estudiantes' midfielder Enzo Perez was sent off in stoppage time.

Atlas was also in a good situation as they began their game against Lanus because of an away goal in the first leg.  They made it 2-0 on aggregate when Bruno Marioni scored in the 30th minute. Lanus' Jose Sand tied the game but Ulises Mendivil scored to give Atlas the lead again. Lanus' Lautaro Acosta made it 2-2 in the 90th minute but there was not enough time to get the needed third goal for Lanus.

Later this week four more Brazilian teams will be in good shape to advance as Flamengo, Sao Paulo, Cruzeiro and Santos are all in prime position to make the quarterfinals.
