Euro 2008 Final Results Spain Wins European Championship: the EURO 2008 Cup Final came down to two of the best sides in this year’s tournament competition. Both of these sides were very worthy finalists, but there can only be 1 European 2008 Champion. Odds-makers at BodogLife.com had Spain a -180 betting odds favorite to beat Germany (+140), and the odds of a Draw were +230.

Just hours away before the kick off of this Euro 2008 Final, there were some key injury blows dealt to both teams. For Spain, the tournament leading goal-scorer, David Villa was announced wouldn’t play due to injured muscle. Euro 2008 Final Results: GermanySpain Wins European Championship

Equally for the Germans, captain, Michael Ballack was announced as unavailable for Sunday’s match due to an injured calf. But Ballack gave it a go for Germany.

Spain's moment occurred in the 33rd minute of the match, when Torres was able to score the winning and only goal. The match started a bit sloppy, as both sides seemed to be feeling each other out. But Spain was more aggressive through out, and their lack of experience did not play a role in these Euro 2008 Finals.

Spain wins their first European Championship since 1964; their second title in their history. They also become just 1 of a handful of teams to win multiple European Championship titles. They were certainly the best team in this tournament, and they showed it in Sunday's final.

It has been a terrific several weeks in Switzerland-Austria, filled with emotion and fervor. But no one had a better time, then Spain: a team that had been labeled as the biggest loosers in European history.
