While maybe only hardcore boxing fans have taken notice, Cruiserweight Darnell Wilson is one of the most exciting fighters in the sport of boxing, and on ESPN2's Friday Night Fights he will get to show his stuff in the Darnell Wilson vs B.J Flores fight. Sportsbook.com has Darnell Wilson as a -185 boxing betting favorite. The 12-round main event for #9 ranked Wilson’s U.S.B.A cruiserweight title will be toughest test of the young prospect Flores, 20-0, 13 KO’s, young career. The 29 year-old Mexican Flores, is a fresh faced boxer\puncher that owns an established amateur record, but a protected professional ledger filled with mediocre opponents. Flores has the attributes that you look for in a contender: Fast hands, Height 6'2", reach 80", confidence and dedication. Despite the tools that the former BYU collegiate football player B.J possesses, I am not sold on his boxing ability. Sportsbook.com has the OVER\UNDER at 9.5 rounds with the OVER at -165. Flores has some holes in his defense that could be damaging against a legendary puncher like Wilson. The 33-year-old Wilson is a squat 5'10" with tremendous leverage. Darnell a.k.a “The Ding-A-Ling-Man” can break bones with either hand. Wilson is an aggressive and determined brawler that is willing to take one to land one, but he has a good chin to take abuse, and decent handspeed to dish out punishment. Wilson is not a classy boxer so he can be outboxed with movement, but his level of pro competition is far better than Flores. If Flores can elude Wilson’s bombs however he can steal the late rounds due to Wilson’s suspect endurance. The fight will be in Wilson’s backyard so a close decision should go in his direction. Can Flores keep the dangerous Wilson at bay with his speed? EinsteinPicks's Brad Marchetti has connections in the boxing world. Ride the EinsteinPicks boxing money train that pays out in cold hard cash. Marchetti has a huge GUARANTEED winning play on this Versus telivised bout with a GUARANTEED winning boxing bet.
