The Golden Boy Oscar De La Hoya will be back in action May 3rd against Steve Forbes at a catchweight of 150 lbs. In a 12-round bout. The fight will not be on Pay-per view which is great news for boxing fans. I haven’t seen an opening line on the fight but I would make Oscar the -800 favorite against "lil" Steve Forbes. The question to me is how long will it go. bodogLife.com has Oscar De La Hoya as a +220 boxing betting underdog in Mayweather vs De La Hoya II. I would have to make the Over\Under at 10.5 with Forbes slippery style. Forbes, 30, has had a nice run going 9-2 over the past 4 years but he will be the much, much smaller man against the 5'11" De La Hoya. Forbes is the faster, slicker boxer, and could steal some rounds, but he might get waxed if he makes a mistake. Oscar has the political connections for a decision to go his way however.
Forbes does not have the pop to stop Oscar, so his only way to win would most likely be by decision. EinsteinPicks boxing money train that pays out in cold hard cash. Marchetti has a huge GUARANTEED winning play on the Kelly Pavlik vs Jermain Taylor bout that is a GUARANTEED winning boxing bet with power rating breakdown. The ultimate goal for De La Hoya is a scheduled big $$ rematch on September 20th with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Opening books have De la Hoya as a heavy 5-2 underdog vs the “Pretty Boy” Floyd. EinsteinPicks has the connections to put you in the big boxing money. Win consistently with the Brad Marchetti Fight Capper package for 99.99.
