The new look New Jersey Nets are hoping to shake off two losses in their last three games and get back in the win column against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks currently stand at 22-35 but they have won three of their last four games against current playoff teams in Detroit, Denver, and Cleveland. Hot handed Michael Redd has led the way by averaging 23.3 points and a career high 3.7 assists per game. Mo Williams has so far proven that he was worth the money he commanded this off season by averaging 17.8 points and 6.4 assists per game. BetUS.com has the New Jersey Nets as -3.5 point NBA betting favorite.
The Nets are hoping for the debut of their new point guard Devin Harris. Harris’ bum ankle has kept him out of action since January 27 but he will definitely make an immediate impact in the Nets run and gun offense. Marcus Williams has made the most of his minutes since the Kidd trade netting 11.8 point and 6.8 assists in 32.8 minutes but expect these numbers to decline upon the return of Harris. Vince Carter and Richard Jefferson have continued to lead the Nets scoring attack averaging 23.4 and 20.8 points respectively. Unfortunately, the Nets still lack an inside presence as Nenad Kristic has yet to assert himself since returning from an injury and Stromile Swift has been a disappointment. BetUS.com has the TOTAL at 197.5 .
Although the Bucks are 6-24 on the road, they lost a close game in New Jersey to a team with a healthy Vince Carter, Richard Jefferson, and Jason Kidd. With the Bucks having some steam and the New Jersey fighting the injury bug, expect Milwaukee to earn their first victory in three tries against the Nets.
