Charles “Mask” Lewis Dies in Car Crash: On Wednesday morning in Newport Beach, CA, TapouT founder, Charles Lewis Jr., was killed in a hit-and-run accident. According to Lt. Jim Amormino, a public information officer with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, “at 12:57 AM a Newport Beach Police cruiser spotted Lewis’ red Ferrari and a white Porsche driving out of control on the southbound side of Jamboree Road”.

Lewis’ Ferrari then hit a curb and a streetlight — which caused the damage seen in the pictures — as it was literary torn in half.

Allegedly, the Porsche then came to a complete stop before fleeing the scene. Lewis’s passenger, an unidentified female, was ejected from the car during the collision. Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Later on, Newport Beach officers once again spotted the white Porsche, as a male and female were seen walking away from the vehicle. The police stopped them and they were both arrested in connection to the hit-and-run accident. It was later determined that the male is 51-year-old, Jeffrey David Kirby, a resident of Costa Mesa, CA, and the driver of the vehicle.

Kirby has been arrested and charged with gross vehicular manslaughter, and his bail was set at $1 million. The female passenger is 32-year-old, Lynn Marie Nabozny, a resident of Newport Beach. She was arrested for public intoxication and was released early Wednesday morning.
