In what could be one of the most hopeful of actions by the BodogLife.com company, they have released betting lines on a fight between one of boxing's greats against a mixed martial arts great. The lines released though are specific and will not surely become active. The rules are as followes: In order to "have action," the bout must be under boxing rules. The bout also must take place in the year 2008 and the max bet you can place is $100. Currently the favorite is not suprisingly Roy Jones Jr. as he actually is a boxer. The UFC champion is at +1400 and the boxing great is at -2800 boxing betting odds at BodogLife.com. Those numbers will shift quickly as people will have obvious bias. If the fight was under mixed martial arts rules, you could expect that the numbers would be the opposite. It is a matter of reality. A football player will beat a golfer in football and most golfers will finish their 18 holes before an NFL athlete will finish the first 9. The likelyhood of the fight taking place is actually the most exciting bet. One that BodogLife.com has not put up lines for, but if they were to do so, you would hear about it first on this website. The most likely case is to see Anderson Silva stay in the UFC fighting for Dana White and the boxing vs. MMA hype to continue on, even though many people have already noticed the trend of which sport is making the most impact these days.
