UFC 111 Picks: St Pierre vs Hardy UFC 111 Odds & Predictions: The biggest fight card of the year is finally here, as Georges St. Pierre [-600 ML] makes his awaited return to the Octagon to defend his title against No.1 contender and sports betting odds underdog Dan Hardy [+400 ML] tonight. The Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey will be the sight for UFC 111 Picks, Odds & Predictions, as the Ultimate Fighting Championship will have two great main events.

UFC 111 Picks: St Pierre vs Hardy UFC 111 Odds & PredictionsAfter adding about five pounds of lean muscle to his frame, many people had some concerns about St-Pierre’s body tiring out due to the dehydration of cutting more weight. “I never had a problem cutting weight,” he said. “It’s going to be harder, but it’s not a problem for me.

“My conditioning is 110 percent and I’m used to that. I’m used to cutting weight. I do it in a very scientific way and I don’t [tire] myself out doing it. It’s very important to have a protocol to follow and everything is on plan right now.”

With a bigger, faster and stronger St-Pierre, many in the Rush’s camp are excited to see him go up against a dangerous opponent like Hardy, who is yet to lose a fight in the UFC. As hard as it is to believe, GSP feels the worlds has yet to see the best Georges St-Pierre possible.

We will get that chance tonight, says the French-Canadian. “I’m better than ever before,” he said. “I’m stronger. I’ve had better quality training partners. I’m going to be able to hit harder for a longer period.”

What does this mean for Hardy and the rest of the UFC’s welterweight Division? It simply means that not only is Georges the most skilled MMA fighter at 170, but now, he’s just as big as the larger guys in the division. Is this all to move up and take on UFC middleweight champion, Anderson Silva?

“When I fought Alves, he was walking around at 215 pounds. And I walk around normally, before, I used to walk around at 185,” GSP added. “So I really felt that when I was fighting Alves, that he was big. And I heard like Anthony Johnson is 220. So I decided to follow a diet for the first time in my life and train a lot (in Olympic lifts), so I’m much bigger and more powerful than I used to be.”

As far as Hardy is concerned, The Outlaw decided to bring the last leg of his camp to the States, where he and the last man to defeat GSP joined forced to try and solve this puzzle. “It just gave me more motivation,” said St. Pierre when asked about Hardy training his ground game with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu mestre, Matt Serra.

For the main event tonight, Hardy’s strategy is very simple: hit GSP and hit him hard. The Englishman’s camp believes that the defending champ will eventually tip over from Hardy’s power punches.

“There’s only one way to find out,” St. Pierre said. “I’m not worried about that. I take a lot of shots in training and I’m fine … When I fought Serra, I got caught with a punch, a looping punch that hit me right behind the ear and I lost my equilibrium. And after I lost my equilibrium, I got hit by five haymakers before I ended up falling. I don’t think he’s right. It’s a comment to make him confident. I’m ready for a war. I’m not worried about getting punched at all.”
