This Saturday night, May 8th from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada, (4-1-0) Kimbo Slice [-115 ML] will make his second appearance, as he takes on a rather interesting character in former NFL player and The Ultimate Fighter 10 house-mate, (1-0) Matt “Meathead” Mitrione [-115 ML] at UFC 113 Picks & Predictions.

Kimbo made his anticipated UFC debut at the TUF 10 Finale, when he defeated the now-departed Houston Alexander by unanimous decision. But Slice’s debut was anything of what we expected, as the fight with the Assassin didn’t live up to the expected standup war it was supposed to be.

Instead, Alexander chose to run around in circles and barely engaged with the former street brawler. The former Elite XC show pony is promising a much different fight against a larger Mitrione this time around, however. “It’s a good fight,” Kimbo said of facing Mitrione. “Somebody’s gonna get knocked out.”

For Meathead, as TUF 10 coach Rashad Evans liked to refer to Mitrione as, he gained a second shot at fighting with the organization through head games and by creating rivalries with his TUF 10 housemates. To his credit, all the games Mitrione played indeed got him a chance to shine on a national stage and he made the most of it.

After showing heart, punching power and a strong chin in his win over Scott Junk during the show, Mitrione earned a shot at another former pro football player, Marcus Jones in the TUF 10 undercard. Mitrione put Big Baby to sleep at 10 seconds of the second round. Will Meathead stand and bang with Slice?

“I am excited to fight Kimbo,” stated Mitrione. “I like him as a person and I like his fighting style. I think that it matches up with mine very well.  It’ll be a fun fight for the fans to watch.  I just don’t know how long it will last.”
