Kimbo Slice vs Matt Mitrione UFC 113 Odds, Picks & Predictions

Kimbo Slice vs Matt Mitrione UFC 113 Odds, Picks & Predictions: In Friday night’s UFC 113 weigh-ins, Kimbo Slice and Matt Mitrione had one of the most intense stare-downs you’ll ever see. After Kimbo weighed in at 225 pounds — chain/medallion and all — and Matt Mitrione weighed 28 pounds heavier than the former street brawler, the two lined up for their traditional stare-down. But there was nothing traditional about that faceoff, as Mitrione forced his nose on to Kimbo, who appeared to have backed off a bit.

After being separated by UFC President, Dana White, Kimbo Slice [-115 ML] and Matt Mitrione [-115 ML]apparently took their bad blood backstage. In his Twitter page, UFC Canadian middleweight, Patrick Cote wrote: Mitrione and Kimbo almost fight backstage after the weight in!!!!

It seems like there’s no love lost between Mitrione and Kimbo, which in turn makes tonight’s UFC 113 Odds, Picks & Predictions fight that much more interesting. Let me just say that, if one of Kimbo’s biggest strengths — and in-turn the reason why he was successful as a street fighter and in the Elite XC — is intimidation, he will not have the luxury against this guy. Meathead doesn’t appear frightened by Kimbo by any stretch of the imagination.

“You want to develop and you want to get better or you should go do something else,” Mitrione said. “The guys in this sport are too good. The days of coming in there with just a lot of toughness and winning fights are long over. You have to learn the sport from the ground up… Kimbo’s evolving, I’m evolving. It’s a process and it’s going to be fun to see where we are along the road.”

If you’re a Kimbo Slice fan, you better hope he implements the gameplan Grande Mestre Ricardo Liborio and the rest of the guys at ATT Coconut Creek have put together because Mitrione has the power to knock Kimbo out.

“It’s an ongoing process,” Slice said. “American Top Team, let me tell you, that’s not a gym. It’s a learning facility. If you go there, you’re going to learn. You almost have no choice but to learn. The trainers there, I call them professors. They have professors there and you have no choice but to learn.

“I have six kids and the distractions are going to be there. But I’ve had to isolate myself and make some sacrifices. When I’m at ATT, I put on my thinking cap and try to absorb everything. With learning, the key is repetition and Coach Libo, he drills me with that.”
