UFC 99 Results: The Ultimate Fighting Championship made its successful debut in Cologne, Germany with Saturday night’s “UFC 99: The Comeback”. In the main event of the evening, former UFC middleweight champion, Rich “Ace” Franklin (25-4, 12-3 UFC) defeated ex-PRIDE title-holder Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva (32-10-1, 2-5 UFC) by Unanimous Decision in a catch-weight, 195-pound bout.

“Wanderlei has done more in this sport than I have,” Franklin said. “I have a lot of respect and admiration for him as a fighter, much like the fans.”

Velasquez once again proved to be a force to be reckoned in the heavyweight division, as he remains undefeated, capturing his fourth consecutive victory in the UFC. His next opponent should be another undefeated wrestler and title contender in Shane Carwin (11-0), who’s coming off an impressive KO-victory over Gabriel Gonzaga.
