This evening, Saturday, June 28th, Filipino sensation Manny Pacquiao will take on World Boxing Council Lightweight Champion David Diaz. Pacquiao consistently brings his trademark power and speed to the ring, and he will no doubt try to overwhelm Diaz in search of a knockout. It is his ferocity and willingness to do whatever is necessary that has him favored over the older Diaz.
Tonight should not be a disappointment for an anxious Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino crowd. This fight may help salvage a somewhat dismal year for boxing fans as the sport continues to see its balance of power shift to the lower weight classes.
