UFC 100: Brock Lesnar Submitted by Dana White? If you thought you had to wait until Saturday July 11th to see some UFC 100 fireworks, you were wrong! In fact, the UFC 100 action started much earlier than anticipated, as UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar squared off against UFC president Dana White?
That’s right, it all happened during the official UFC 100 Press Conference held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the Ultimate Fighting Championship and the participating parties got together to promote the mammoth UFC 100 event.
By now I know everyone has heard stories or seen the videos of Dana White bench-pressing 300 pounds and all that jazz. Well during the UFC 100 press conference in Las Vegas, he almost had to.
In a room full of media and other personnel, UFC champion Brock Lesnar was ticked off and expressed that he was done talking about all this bull and simply decided to storm out of there and leave the promoting to the other guys.
As Lesnar was leaving, White threw an arm around the champ’s shoulders and simply said: “Sit down.” And you know what, Lesnar actually complied and took his seat. “The guy’s trying to leave the UFC 100 press conference?” White said in disbelief as he shook his head.
Almost the same thing happened twice more before White simply reassured everyone that being president of the UFC wasn’t as glamorous as it seemed. “I’m telling you, people don’t want my job. Telling a 400-pound dude to sit down?” White joked.
