Quinton Rampage Jackson Arrested in Hit and Run Police Chase: former UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Costa Mesa, CA, for allegedly fleeing the scene of an accident, and evading police. According to Costa Mesa police report, the 30-year-old Jackson was seen by an officer (in brought daylight) driving a 2008 Ford F-350 pickup with a flat tire. Rampage was also on his cell phone at the time, which is illegal to do while driving in California. When the officer flagged him down to pull over, Jackson ignored the officer’s demands and booked it. The officer continues in pursuit. The chase continued with Rampage’s truck evading traffic by driving on the wrong side of the road, and even on a sidewalk occupied by civilians. It was later confirmed that police had received a call about a three-car collision some miles away, and that the guilty party had also fled the scene of the accident. According to the officers, at 1:13 pm, Jackson ran into 2 cars with his truck at 19 street and Newport, and failed to stop. In addition, Rampage also struck another vehicle during the 5-minute pursuit, which concluded with Jackson’s arrest in Orange County. The MMA fighter was taken into custody, and later charged with hit-and-run, felony evading police officers, and reckless driving. UFC president, Dana White, flew immediately to the OC jail to post bail for Rampage Jackson. Quinton Jackson was held on $25,000 bail at the Orange County Central jail.
