Fedor Emelianenko Signs with Strikeforce

Fedor Emelianenko Signs with Strikeforce: After the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s president Dana White, stated that the UFC did everything in its power to bring “The Last Emperor” Fedor Emelianenko to the most competitive MMA company in the world, reports are now circulating that the Russian has signed with Strikeforce.

Are you geared up for UFC 101 this weekend? Then what are you waiting for? Did you know that UFC 101 is stacked with another great fight card? Check out Bodog.com for details!

According to a Strikeforce press release, Emelianenko has signed a multi-fight deal with the San Jose, CA, based company and will make his debut this fall live on Showtime. "Strikeforce is a top fight promotion that houses some of the greatest fighters in the world," Emelianenko said in a statement. "I am prepared to fight any of them."

It is believed that the 33-year-old, Fedor will follow in the footsteps of Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson. Showtime, which is owned by CBS, will likely try to get the Russian on the network television spotlight in the not so distant future and ultimately sell pay-per-view events like the UFC.

UFC 101 will feature the much-anticipated return of Anderson Silva to the Octagon, and believe me when I tell you: he has plenty to prove this time against a tough Forrest Griffin! Also in action will be another guy with lots to prove after getting destroyed by GSP, as BJ Penn defends his UFC lightweight belt against longtime title contender Kenny Florian!
