Round 2 – The second round started with both fighters trying to size each others reach. Pelligrino looked for a take down about one minute into the round with Neer on his back once again. Neer was attacking Pelligrino but Kurt was successful in breaking all attempts up. Pelligrino landed a few rights to the face of Neer. With just under 2 minutes in the round, Neer attempted an arm bar, but it was broken up and another one was attempted and broken up thirty seconds later. With less than a minute left, Pelligrino was able to get underneath Neer and held him from behind but was unsuccessful at finishing him off. Neer got up and had a bloody nose.
Round 3 – The third round started with both fighters exchanging kicks until Pelligrino took Neer down thirty seconds into the round. Neer attempted a arm lock submission with four minutes left but it was broken up by Pelligrino. Neer was unable to keep Pelligrino from hitting his face. Both fighters were talking to each other while on the ground. Pelligrino attempted several triangle submissions but was unsuccessful on every one. Pelligrino was very aggressive on the ground in the last minute of the third round. With thirty seconds left, Neer got on top of Pelligrino but was unable to capitalize on it. Neer landed several elbows at the very end of the fight but it was too little too late.

Round 1 – Almeida was very aggressive at trying to get Grove on the ground right from the start and pinned him against the cage as he attmpted to get leverage. Grove was able to land a few elbows while his back was against the cage and moved Almeida so his back was against the cage, but the two fighters quickly squared up in the center of the ring. Grove landed a big knee to the face of Almeida but Ricardo landed a huge right which stunned Grove. Kendall kept kneeing Ricardo in the chest when the two were standing in a clench. Almeida landed the first take down with just under two minutes left in the round. Both fighters were active from their positions with Kendall on his back and Ricardo in his half guard. Grove got out of it and was able to stand back up but Ricardo slammed Grove to the ground with 15 seconds left in the round. The round ended with Ricardo on top of Grove after the body slam.
Round 2 – Ricardo took Grove down to start the second round. Ricardo was caught in a submission with Kendall almost securing the arm bar. With just under four minutes left, Ricardo had Grove on his back in half guard. Ricardo landed several shots over the course of the next several minutes with Grove struggling to defend himself. With one minute left, Grove was able to stand up and was wedged against the cage. Grove landed a knee to the face of Ricardo with a bout 45 seconds left and followed it up with a huge uppercut to the face and another knee. With ten seconds left, Ricardo eats and elbow but got a last second take down to end the round.
Round 3 – Ricardo landed a few kicks to the inner thigh on Grove. Kendall attempted to kick Ricardo but Almeida was able to get the take down. Kendall was able to get to his feet but was wedged against the cage. Grove was able to get back to the center of the ring and was able to land some hammer fists on Ricardo. Almeida was running out of gas while Grove looked strong. The two fighters were in the center of the ring until just over two minutes left, Ricardo takes down Grove. Kendall was looking for a arm bar against the tired Almeida. Both fighters were landing elbows to the others face while on the ground. Grove had a surge at thirty seconds and pushed Ricardo off and attempted a few strikes. Ricardo went in for the take down but was unable to secure it before the horn sounded to end the fight.
UFC 101 Results for the Amir Sadollah vs Johny Hendriks fight ended 32 seconds into the first round with Johny Hendriks winning his UFC debut by TKO over Amir Sadollah. The MMA odds makers at Bodog.com had Amir Sadollah the -110 odds underdog against the favorite Johny Hendricks at -120 odds.
