UFC 141: Brock Lesnar vs Alistair Overeem Betting Odds: Have you ever wondered why they say the Ultimate Fighting Championship is one of the fastest growing sports in the world? This is the reason why: because they put on great fights fans want to see time and time again! Having that said, Dana White and the Fertittas have delivered in grand fashion once again with two major announcements.

The first big news was the recent signing of former Strikeforce heavyweight champion, (35-11-0) Alistair Overeem to the UFC's stacked heavyweight roster. Shortly thereafter, the UFC dropped the big bomb:

“The Destroyer” would be making his UFC debut by facing none other than former WWE star and ex-UFC heavyweight title-holder, (5-2-0) Brock Lesnar at UFC 141!

This much-anticipated 5-round, Interim championship bout is expected to be the main event on Saturday, December 30th, 2011 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Do you know who also delivers? SPORTS-ODDS.com does! As such, we have the best opening lines for what should be one of the highly watched fights in Mixed Martial Arts history!

According to UFC 141 Odds makers, the 6’5”, 250-pound, Alistair Overeem [-125] has been listed as the sports betting odds favorite to defeat the 6’3” 270-pound, Brock Lesnar [-105]. Overeem is riding a 7-fight win streak going into this fight, with his latest one coming by unanimous decision over Fabricio Werdum.

“Brock is a big name, a dangerous guy, and this is a dream matchup,” Overeem told the LA Times. “Brock's a big guy, an exciting wrestler with his takedowns. I want to see this fight myself. Overall, I'm a different fighter. A striker, athletic, big. These are going to be two big trucks going at it on a collision course.”

For the former WWE star, this would be Lesnar’s first appearance in the Octagon following a surgical procedure in which 12 inches of his colon were removed in order to be repaired. Lesnar’s last fight came last October at UFC 121, when the former wrestling champ was obliterated by the reigning UFC champ, Cain Velasquez.

“This is the fight the fans want,” said White, who also revealed that the winner of the Lesnar-Overeem fight would take on the winner of the November 12th title bout between Velasquez and Junior Dos Santos. “Both of these guys are monsters. Can Lesnar take Overeem down?”
