UFC 120 Odds: Michael Bisping vs Yoshihiro Akiyama Fight Picks & Predictions: After defeating Dan Miller at UFC 114, sports betting odds favorite (20-3-0) Michael “The Count” Bisping [-200 ML] will try and climb the UFC middleweight rankings with a victory in front of the O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom. Standing in his way will be sports betting odds underdog (13-2-0, 2 NC) Yoshihiro “Sexyama” Akiyama [+160 ML], who’s trying to bounce back after getting submitted by Chris Leben at UFC 116.

“Matching Akiyama and myself is very smart by the UFC, because it’s one of those fights where I don’t think it can help but be exciting,” Bisping said. “For me, it’s even more important. Not only am I fighting in front of my countrymen, but there is a lot at stake in this fight. I know what this can mean to my career and I’ve taken this fight as seriously as any I’ve ever hard.”

UFC 120 Odds gets underway this afternoon, but there will be a delayed broadcasted on SPIKE TV beginning at 8 PM ET. Other fights slated on the UFC 120 Odds include: Carlos Condit vs Dan Hardy, Mike Pyle vs John Hathaway, Travis Browne vs Cheick Kongo, and many more

For The Count, despite being successful in the UFC, posting a record of 9-3 with the organization, he has yet to emerge as a real UFC middleweight title contender. According to UFC president Dana White, if Bisping is able to defeat Sexyama at UFC 120, the outspoken Englishman would be considered among the top middleweight, title-contenders in the world.

“If he beats Akiyama, I’d think he’d probably be a couple of wins away,” from fighting for the title,” White said. “Anyone who thinks Michael Bisping isn’t a world-class fighter is just hating. Look at what he’s done.”

But Bisping understands very well that there’s a guy in the UFC’s 185-pound division that’s not about to relinquish the belt to anyone.

“He’s one of the most fantastic fighters I’ve ever seen and to do what he’s done, to go unbeaten for so long in the UFC for as long as he has, says a lot about him,” Bisping said of reigning UFC middleweight champion, Anderson Silva. “We can’t expect him to lose it. We as the other fighters in the division have to improve ourselves and try to take it from him. He’s not going to give it away.”
