Brock Lesnar Hospitalized, Fight Career Could Be Over: The much-anticipated UFC heavyweight title fight between reigning champion Brock Lesnar and top contender Shane Carwin has been postponed twice because of a rare condition the champ is suffering from. It was first believed to be mono, but no one truly knew outside of Lesnar’s inner circle.
While this has caused much speculation about the former WWE star’s health, others have even gone on to
stupidly question the champ’s desire to fight the fellow wrestling giant, saying Lesnar was scared of Carwin. Now we know the truth. Brock Lesnar is ill and according to UFC president Dana White, it’s bad enough that his fight career could be over.
According to various reports, Lesnar collapsed last week in Canada and was rushed to a North Dakota hospital, where he has been ever since. According to White, Lesnar has some kind of intestinal disorder that required major surgery, and, “there's a possibility Lesnar will never fight again.” The UFC heavyweight champion is expected to be transferred to a nearby Mayo Clinic for treatment.
After UFC 105 last Saturday night, White made the following statement in regards to the Canada incident: "He's in a hospital up in North Dakota somewhere right now. He went to Canada and some bad stuff happened to him, so we've got to figure it out … He doesn't want to talk about it publicly, but he's in bad shape. He's not well and he's not going to be getting well anytime soon."
