UFC 91 Results Brock Lesnar (3-1) TKOs Randy Couture (16-9): UFC 91 Couture vs. Lesnar will certainly go down in the history books as one of the most one sided fight cards ever. It was indeed a great night for Brazilian fighters, but no one’s night was more memorable than Brock Lesnar’s.

According to Odds makers at BodogLife.com, Brock Lesnar came in as a -130 Online Sports Betting Odds favorite over the UFC champion, Randy Couture [EVEN]. The former WWE star did not disappoint by putting on a dominating display of power, determination, speed, and poise to capture the UFC Heavyweight title.

The anticipation was immense and the MGM Grand Casino was filled to capacity.

Brock Lesnar was the first to come out of the locker room. Making his way to the octagon to Metallica’s “Enter Sandman”, the giant 270-pounder was loudly booed by a ruckus pro-Couture MGM crowd. Nevertheless, the challenger looked calm and collected under the bright Las Vegas lights.

In contrast, when Randy “The Natural” Couture took his stroll towards the battlefield, he was showered by cheers and screams from adoring old-school UFC heads. It was one of the biggest ovations ever heard in 91 events, as fans savored the moment and voiced their appreciation for everything Randy has done for the sport. It was a great moment in MMA history, the triumphant return of "Captain America" to the octagon.

Nevertheless when the action began, it was clear who the better fighter was that night, and it wasn’t the fan-favorite. With the poise of a UFC veteran, Brock Lesnar kept his emotions in-check and came out looking very impressive from the opening seconds of the bout. With a series of bruising strikes, sharp knees (from the clinch), and dramatic takedowns, Lesnar took the fight to the 45-year old champ.

Randy clearly struggled to deal with Lesnar’s size, as he continuously tried to wear him out by pinning him to the cage. Lesnar’s intent was very clear in those situations; he wanted to take this fight to the ground, and in some instances, he did. However, Randy’s experience and technique clearly paid off, as he became very evasive and escaped Lesnar’s ground attempts with minimal damage.

In the culminating moments, both fighters landed some solid punches. In particular, one that cut Lesnar pretty good just above his eye. But the challenger kept coming forward and attacking relentlessly. In one of those exchanges, Randy Couture got caught by a massive right hand, which connected right on the temple buckling his knees. Thus, Randy collapsed and Lesnar pounced on him. From there, Brock Lesnar did what he does best, absolutely obliterating Randy Couture en route to a TKO victory (due to strikes) with 3:07 remaining in the opening stanza. A great fight, and well deserved victory for the new UFC Heavyweight Champion of the world, Brock Lesnar.

In the co-main event of the evening, Sports Odds favorite (13-3) Kenny Florian [-185] outshined the guy who wondered why he was a +155 Sports Odds underdog in this fight, (34-9) Joe Stevenson. Well, now you know Joe! Stevenson tapped out at 4:03 in round 1 due to a rear-naked choke. But seriously, Florian made a good fighter like Stevenson look so bad, to the point that it looked like "Daddy" didn’t even belong in there.

It was such an unbelievably dominating performance by Kenny Florian, that he outclassed Stevenson in every aspect of the fight (stand-up, Muay-Thai, and even Brazilian Jiu-jitsu). With the victory, Kenny Florian will likely get a title shot (in the future) against UFC champion, BJ Penn. After the fight, Florian had some unkind words for the Hawaiian: “I want BJ’s belt,” he told Joe Rogan. “BJ, I consider you a master. It’s time to kill the master,” and the crowd went wild.

In other UFC 91 Results, Brazilians went 2-2 in their matches: Demian Maia submitted (tap out) Nate Quarry at 2:13 of round 1 (rear naked choke) and Gabriel Gonzaga TKO’d Josh Hendricks at 1:01 of round 1.
