UFC 86 Prediction Quinton Rampage Jackson vs. Forrest Griffin: Two of the most prominent names in the 205 lbs division will take on each other for the Light heavyweight championship of the world, as UFC 86 presents: Quinton "Rampage" Jackson vs. Forrest Griffin, tonight on PayPerView. MMA Fighting experts at BodogLife.com have the absolute best MMA betting lines for tonight’s UFC 86 Prediction: Quinton Rampage Jackson vs. Forrest Griffin. Born in Columbus, Ohio, and fighting out of Las Vegas, NV, is the 29-year-old challenger Forrest Griffin. The 6’ 3” 205-pounder Griffin is unquestionably a fan favorite, and a guy who has shown a lot of heart since his arrival. Forest, who comes in with an MMA record of 15-4-0, is by far the most celebrated and prominent fighter to come out of “The Ultimate Fighter” series. Griffin is coming off the most impressive win of his MMA career, when he defeated -a fighter who many consider the best at 205- Mauricio “Shogun” Rua (16-3-0) by submission (rear-naked-choke). The Underdog, Forrest Griffin's UFC 86 Betting Odds to beat Rampage Jackson are +215. The UFC Light Heavyweight champion, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (27-6-0), has already established himself as one of the most fierce, feared, fighters in MMA history. After years of dramatic beat downs, slams, and victories in Pride, Jackson made the merge onto the UFC; after taking his show on the road, Jackson remains undefeated (3-0-0). Rampage in the UFC thus far has beaten: Marvin Eastman (TKO), Chuck Liddell (1st Round TKO), and Dan Henderson (UD). Rampage will look to remain perfect as he takes on Forest Griffin, Saturday July 5th 2008 from the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas Nevada. Quinton "Rampage" Jackson's UFC 86 Betting Odds to retain his championship title are -275. Keys for Griffin to win: Forrest at 6’ 3” must exploit his height advantage over Rampage (6’ 1”) by jabbing him, and keeping him at a safe distance. Griffin's strengths certainly lie in his grappling ability once on the ground. He does lack punching power, especially against a guy like Rampage, but if he can get him off his feet, his ground game is good enough to compete with the best in the game. Rampage’s Keys to victory: Jackson is without question a much stronger and experienced fighter than Griffin. Yes, Rampage has the ability to put Forest on the mat with one swing, but he is also a terrific wrestler. However, Jackson does lack Jujutsu on the ground and can be submitted by a solid grappler. Jackson will look to get in early and get an early TKO on a Forrest Griffin who might find himself like a deer under the headlights, in his first ever title fight. Sports-Odds UFC 86 Prediction: Jackson -275 (too strong, too experienced) Sports-Odds.com Bonus Predictions: Look for Joe Stevenson (-260) to defeat Gleison Tibau (+200), and Ricardo Almeida (-140) to beat Patrick Cote (+110). |

Two of the most popular fighters in the UFC square off in the octagon Saturday evening as Quinton “Rampage” Jackson defends his light heavyweight title against Forrest Griffin and as always, Sportsbook.com will have all the odds for the nine fight card. Rival coaches on this past season’s The Ultimate Fighter television show, Griffin’s team beat up on Jackson’s team on a weekly basis. Now it’s time for Jackson to get some revenge while proving he is the best 205 pounder in the UFC. This is just Jackson’s second title defense since knocking out than champion Chuck Liddell over a year ago. With great wrestling skills, heavy hands and devastating body slams; “Rampage” is one of the most intimidating and feared fighters in all of MMA today. When asked why he started training for MMA, the champ replied, “So I could beat up folks without getting into trouble, and get paid for it.” Since entering MMA nine years ago, Jackson has fought some of the best fighters ever in the sport including: Liddell, Dan Henderson, Matt Lindland, Wanderlei Silva and Mauricio Rua. Despite having fought the “who’s who” of MMA light heavyweights, Jackson shouldn’t take this fight with the greener Griffin lightly. Griffin (+235) has been made the heavy underdog to dethrone Jackson (-295) by the handicappers at Sportsbook.com; however, this is a role he obviously relishes. After all, it was just about nine months ago when the former cop shocked the MMA world by defeating the aforementioned Rua by rear naked choke to earn a title shot. Don’t miss out on betting on the fastest growing sport in the country. With nine fights to choose from “UFC 86: Jackson vs. Griffin” promises to be an action packed card. This evening, Saturday, June 28th, Filipino sensation Manny Pacquiao will take on World Boxing Council Lightweight Champion David Diaz. Fight fans are expecting an entertaining performance from two well established, champion boxers. Boxing odds at Bodoglife.com currently favor Pacquiao to take the belt from Diaz. Manny is getting 2/1 odds to win by decision and 5/7 odds to win by Knockout or Technical Knockout. Bodoglife.com is giving Diaz 6/1 odds to win by decision and 8/1 odds to win by Knockout or Technical Knockout. Chicago born David Diaz brings a spectacular 34-1-1 record into this evening's fight. While Diaz is not necessarily known for his power, he does have 17 KO's to his credit. He will certainly look to take advantage of Pacquiao any way he can tonight. The former Olympian will need his entire arsenal to overcome the firestorm that Pacquiao will bring to the ring. Diaz's technical skills should serve him well, but he will also need to display ample doses of aggression. This may be a back alley brawl from the first bell. The younger Pacquiao certainly does not lack experience. The WBC Super Featherweight Champ comes into the fight sporting a 46-3-2 record. "The Destoryer" is making the jump to lightweight class, but his previous weight class moves have not been an issue. Pacquiao consistently brings his trademark power and speed to the ring, and he will no doubt try to overwhelm Diaz in search of a knockout. It is his ferocity and willingness to do whatever is necessary that has him favored over the older Diaz. Tonight should not be a disappointment for an anxious Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino crowd. This fight may help salvage a somewhat dismal year for boxing fans as the sport continues to see its balance of power shift to the lower weight classes. UFC 86 Jackson vs Griffin Betting Preview: two of the biggest names in the UFC today will finally get the chance to settle their heated dispute once and for all, Saturday July 5th 2008 from the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, NV. After the UFC bought out Pride (thus, unifying the two largest MMA franchises in the world), not only has the level of competition risen, but the scales have also tilted in favor of Pride migrating fighters. BodogLife.com has the absolute best betting odds for UFC 86: Jackson vs Griffin. Light Heavyweight Champion, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, is the most prominent and most successful fighter to merge over from Pride. Meanwhile, the challenger, Forest Griffin, is a perennial fan favorite who has grown and developed his talents since his debut in the UFC’s reality series, The Ultimate Fighter. These two fighters had the opportunity to coach against each other in The Ultimate Fighter 7, when their teams went head to head, and their dislike for one another, became a profound hatred. In this UFC 86: Jackson vs Griffin Betting Preview, Rampage Jackson is -260 betting odds favorite against Forest Griffin +200. The Champion, Jackson, is so far undefeated (3-0) since transferring to the UFC. His first bout came in UFC 67, when he defeated Marvin Eastman by a way of TKO. His next bout came against former longtime Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck “the iceman” Liddell. Liddell proved to be no match for Jackson’s striking power, as Rampage was once again victorious by TKO in only the first round at UFC 71. Jackson’s next UFC victory came against an outstanding wrestler and fellow Pride fighter Dan Henderson. Henderson was able to take Rampage the distance, but Rampage once again prevailed, this time by unanimous decision. Quinton “Rampage” Jackson currently has an overall MMA record of 27-6-0. Meanwhile his opponent, Forest Griffin, comes in with a still young 15-4-0 MMA record. |

UFC The Ultimate Fighter 7 Finale Results: some of tonight’s UFC on Spike TV fights were at times terrific, and at times a bit sloppy. But overall, Dana White and the UFC deliver once again a very good, and free, fight card: no controversial early stoppages, no lame prize ponies protected here, and best of all, no soft interpretations of what free MMA television should be; no matter how bloody or violent the bouts got. BodogLife.com has the absolute best coverage of tonight’s UFC The Ultimate Fighter Finale Results. Lets start with the main event of the evening, where 37 year-old Evan Tanner took on the 25 year-old Kendall Grove. This fight was a very one-sided/dominated affair, but still highly entertaining. The younger/taller fighter Kendall Grove came out absolutely on fire. Since the start of the bout, Grove put on an absolute display of skill, power, and a versatile arsenal. Evan Tanner was a betting odds favorite by -190 against Kendall Grove (+160). Evan Tanner didn’t know what hit him, but everyone else did. The question here should be: what didn’t he get hit with? Tanner took: Flying knees to the head, array of elbows to the face (in several occasions), kicks to the face, jabs, uppercuts, left/right power hooks… you name it. This bout went the distance despite Tanner taking serious punishment, as one of the judges must have been watching another fight. Still, Grove is the victor by split decision. On The Ultimate Fighter 7 Finale, Amir Sadollah and CB Dollaway faced off (for the second time in their career) for the crown of The Ultimate Fighter 7, and of course a 6-figure UFC contract. Amir Sadollah was a +130 betting underdog vs. CB Dollaway. Evidently, those were The Ultimate wrong-odds, as Dollaway didn’t even get passed the first round. Amir Sadollah once again defeated CB Dollaway, by making him tap out in the first round due to an arm bar. Here are other UFC: The Ultimate Fighter 7 Finale Results, brought to you by BodogLife.com: Diego Sanchez (-500) defeated Luigi Fioravanti (+350) by TKO. Sanchez won this excellent fight in powerful fashion: as a head kick staggered Fioravanti, followed by a knee to the face, and Sanchez finished him off by landing some devastating bombs. Spencer Fisher (-220) defeated Jeremy Stephens (+180) by unanimous decison. Matt Riddle (-240) wins his first MMA fight by defeating Dante Rivera (+190) by unanimous decision. |
