Ernie Els has surged back into contention at the Indian Masters golf with a stunning round of 69 in difficult playing conditions.

Els was considered a no hoper for the tournament after he carded a 9 on the 18th hole at the Delhi golf club - home of the Indian Masters - on day one of the tournament.

Betway.com have some great golf odds and free bets at their sportsbook.

But the big South African looks to have fought back superbly and now has a very realistic chance of winning the 2008 Indian Masters.

He lies at two under par, just four shots behind leader Raphael Jacquelin who carded a solid 72 in blustery conditions.

Ernie Els at the Indian MastersErnie Els is nicknamed the Big Easy on account of his rythmic swing.

It is the first time that India has staged a European Tour golf event. The course isn´t long and has little rough but the thorn bushes that line most of the fairways are proving to be very penal and are playing havoc with some scores.
