But even with the world No.1 and No.2, Phil Mickelson out, this year’s event promises to be quiet a spectacle. With Woods clearly out, players can sort of concentrate on the game itself rather than everything else that would have come had Tiger met the tournament deadline. “It will take away quite a lot from Monday and Tuesday,” said Padraig Harrington [+2500 ML], who’s currently listed with average sports betting odds of winning the 2010 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. “But there will be a worthy winner. All the matches will create new things to talk about.”
