Tiger Woods Returns to Sex Clinic Following Press Conference? With Tiger Woods scheduled to make his first public appearance since Thanksgiving, the eyes of the world will be glued to see and hear what the estranged golfer has to say about his future. Woods is expected to read a statement this morning at 11 AM ET (10 AM CT/8 AM PT) live from clubhouse of the TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra, Florida, which is the home of the PGA TOUR headquarters.
But what happens after his speech is complete considering he will not be answering any questions from the media? According to various reports, Tiger Woods is expected to return to therapy immediately after today’s events. Some of the details can be found in a letter from PGA TOUR commissioner Tim Finchem.
“As we understand it, Tiger’s therapy called for a week’s break at this time during which he has spent a few days with his children and then will make his statement before returning,” Finchem said in the letter Thursday. “Accordingly, there was very little flexibility in the date for the announcement.”
But Tiger Woods’ timing is sort of bothering some of his peers who are currently competing in this year’s 2010 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. Ernie Els went on to cal Woods’ timing “selfish” in Golfweek magazine. Accenture was of course one of the sponsors that decided to part ways with Tiger Woods when the infamous sex scandal and all the alleged mistresses began popping up.
