2015 Masters Odds

2015 masters oddsRory McIlroy is a Masters win away from completing a career Grand Slam; however, if the golf odds makers at Bovada.lv are correct, that will change next month when the PGA Tour heads to Augusta National Golf Club for the first major of the season. McIlroy is a heavy favorite to win the tournament, drawing a 4 to 7 line in the offshore bookmaker’s latest 2015 Masters Odds release.

Augusta National has not been especially kind to McIlroy in the past, but he did record his first top 10 Masters finish last year, tying for eighth with an even par 288. And there is no question McIlory will enter this year’s event even more motivated to don the coveted green jacket.

With a win at Augusta McIlroy will not only have won three straight majors, he will have, as mentioned, logged a career Grand Slam, a feat only five golfers have accomplished in the Masters era (Gene Sarazen, Gary Player, Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods).

McIlroy’s start to the 2015 season has not been as torrid his 2014 finish, though. The Northern Ireland native finished first or second in six of his last nine tournament entries last year and he won The Open Championship and PGA Championship during that stretch.

Bovada’s second pick to McIlroy is two-time green jacket winner Bubba Watson at 10 to 1 odds. Watson won his first Masters in 2012 and he grabbed his second last year, shooting an eight under par 280 to finish three strokes ahead of Jonas Blixt.

Rounding out the top three favorites is Jason Day at 12 to 1 odds. Adam Scott, the 2013 Masters champion, Dustin Johnson and Jordan Spieth are next in line at 14 to 1 odds apiece. They are followed by Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Ricky Fowler, all of which are getting 22 to 1 odds to claim the green jacket.

The 2015 Masters is scheduled to get underway on Thursday, April 9; coverage of the tournament will be provided by ESPN and CBS.
