The Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village GC, in Dublin, Ohio, officially tees off May 29th, 2008, with the first group scheduled for an 8 am EST tee time. The No. 1 player in the world, and 3-time Memorial Tournament winner Tiger Woods, announced earlier this week, that his recent surgically repaired (left) knee wouldn’t allow him to compete in this year’s tournament. Instead Tiger reassured everyone that he would indeed be ready to go for the U.S. Open at Torrey Pines in two weeks. Other noticeable names that will be missed this week in the PGA are Adam Scott (illness) and Vijay Singh (injury).
