2010 British Open Betting Odds: Tiger Woods is in Ireland this week at the J.P. McManus Invitational Pro-Am, but despite being so far away from home he still can’t seem to steer clear of questions regarding his rocky personal life. On Tuesday morning, at a press conference in his first overseas event, Woods was asked some questions that altered his mood.
Woods started the interview comfortably but his answers quickly shifted to short and cold. He was first asked why he would be
heading to Florida instead of Scotland, given that the British Open is soon approaching. Woods said: “ I need to get home.” He was then asked why, and he quickly responded, "See my kids."
Throughout the 15-minute press conference, the media tried to get Tiger to explain how much of his golf struggles were due to his personal struggles. A reporter asked if his being with other women had been “worth-it”, given that he lost so many endorsements and not too mention his marriage. He replied, "I think you're looking too deep into this."
That was quickly followed by a “Thank you.” After a persistent group of reporters kept going around the same idea, Tiger summed it up: "There are times in one's life when things get put in perspective, one being when my father passed, and obviously what I've been going through lately."
The 2010 British Open will take place in St. Andrews July 15- 18th, and despite starting this PGA Tour season with six consecutive losses, Tiger Woods [+250 ML] is still the sports betting odds favorite to win the 2010 British Open Betting Odds. The last time Tiger lost eight starts in a row was in 1998. Woods has had some nice wins at St. Andrews in 2000 and 2005.
