A statement was posted on Tiger Woods’ official website this afternoon issuing an apology for this absence this week in Southern Cal, as well as stating that he’s officially done for the year. "I am extremely disappointed that I will not be at my tournament this week … I am certain it will be an outstanding event and I'm very sorry that I can't be there."
The Chevron World Challenge consists of 18 elite PGA TOUR players that includes the 4 major winners. Some of the money raised will be used towards the Tiger Woods Learning Center in Orange County.
