NBA Eastern Conference Odds 2015

cavaliers lebron james 2015While things have, at least to this point, not gone according to plan for the Cleveland Cavaliers, they remain the favorite to win the East according to Sportsbook.ag’s latest NBA Eastern Conference Odds 2015 release. However, the Cavs current price is a far more friendly one. In early November, Cleveland was drawing -120 NBA odds to represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals, the team is now getting +220 ($100 wins $220) to do so.

The Cavaliers inconsistent play has a lot to do with the change in price, but it is not the only factor. It would be a mistake not to mention what the Atlanta Hawks have done to influence the line as they are, without question, the biggest surprise of the NBA season to this point.

Atlanta squeaked into last year’s playoffs with a 38-44 record, but they enter tomorrow night’s meeting with Oklahoma City the owner of an Eastern Conference best 35 wins. The Hawks also extended their franchise best winning streak to 14 games on Monday with a 93-82 win over the Pistons.

Prior to the start of the season, Atlanta was a +2500 play to win the East, but it is now a second pick to Cleveland with a +240 futures line.

The Bulls are third on the list at +260 odds, which is almost identical to the +250 they were getting at the start of the season. While Chicago sits atop the Central Division standings with a 27-16 record, one gets the feeling it is only a matter of time before the 23-20 Cavs reel them in. The Bulls went 11-3 in December, but they have stumbled since the calendar change, losing six of their first 11 January outings. Chicago also dropped its two most recent games, falling 107-99 to Atlanta and 108-94 to Cleveland.
