NBA Finals Odds 2017

Are the Warriors and Cavaliers en route to a third consecutive NBA Finals showdown? According to the odds makers, yes, they are indeed. Golden State is the favorite to win it all, though, coming in as a -165 moneyline play in Bovada’s latest NBA Finals Odds 2017. Cleveland is second on the list, obviously, but at a rather distant +350 odds ($100 wins $350).

The Warriors will not win 73 games this season, but their 47-9 All Star break record is the best in the NBA by a rather wide margin. Golden State also owns the league’s best scoring differential at +12.8. Oh, and they also are tops in points per game with a ridiculous 1118.2 average.

The Spurs, based upon record (43-13), scoring differential (+8.4) and defensive prowess, (98.4 points per game allowed) would appear to be the NBA’s second best team, but, unfortunately for San Antonio, they must get through the Warriors to even reach the NBA Finals; hence their being the odds makers third choice with a +900 line.

Cleveland seemingly has a much easier path to the Finals with only the Celtics looking like a possible playoff hindrance. Boston is getting some consideration as well, drawing +1200 odds to win the franchise’s 18th NBA title.

The Celtics own a 37-20 record, leaving them just three games behind the Cavaliers in the race for the East’s No. 1 seed. The Raptors and Wizards are also quality teams, but at +3300 odds apiece, neither club is considered a serious threat to the Cavs or to win a championship.

In the West, the Rockets and Clippers are viewed as the only other viable title choices with championship odds of +2000 and +2800, respectively.
