The NFL Playoffs march on to the Divisional Round this weekend and the lineup is a spectacular one. Saturday’s slate opens with the red hot Chiefs taking on the Patriots in New England and it concludes with a rematch between the Packers and Cardinals in Arizona. Sunday will feature the Seahawks and Panthers in the early game and the Steelers and Broncos in the weekend’s finale.
The latest round of 2016 NFL Playoff Picks from Bovada.lv are favoring the Patriots, Cardinals, Panthers and Broncos in the upcoming divisional games.
New England, a loser in four of its last six games, is drawing a -5.5 line against Kansas City, which earned its 11th straight win on Saturday with a 30-0 Wild Card blowout of the Texans. Arizona is laying a touchdown against Green Bay, a team it crushed 38-8 in Glendale in Week 16.
Carolina knocked off the Seahawks 27-23 in Week 6 as a seven point road dog; the Panthers are lined as a -3 home favorite in this weekend’s rematch.
Denver and Pittsburgh also tangled in the regular season, squaring off at Heinz Field on December 20. The Brock Osweiler led Broncos lost that contest 27-34 in spite of a 27-13 halftime lead. This time around Peyton Manning will be under center for Denver while the Steelers could be without quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (sprained AC joint). And, of course, this week’s game will take place at Mile High. All of those factors have the Broncos favored at -6.5 points to advance to the AFC Championship Game on Sunday, January 24.
Those lines represent a stark contrast from last weekend’s games where the Wild Card road teams, save Green Bay (+1 at Washington), were all favored. And, indeed, they all ended up winning, a first in NFL history.
