2013 NFL Week 1 Odds

NFL Grass LogoThe 2013 NFL season kicks off on Thursday, September 5th with a meeting between the defending champion Baltimore Ravens and last year’s No. 1 seed in the AFC Playoffs, the Denver Broncos. With most of the major off-season activity (i.e. the NFL Draft, free agency) either completed or winding down, the odds makers at Sportsbook.ag have posted lines for not only the season opener, but the entire Week 1 slate. 2013 NFL Week 1 Odds at the offshore book have the hosting Broncos listed as a -8.5 against the spread favorite in their playoff rematch with the Ravens. The 8.5 point line is the largest of the kickoff weekend.

Other notable Week 1 clashes include meetings between the Falcons and Saints, Packers and 49ers, Giants and Cowboys, and Eagles and Redskins. The home team is favored in each of those opening weekend match-ups; however, there are several Week 1 home underdogs. Among those home squads catching points in their season openers are the Bills (+7.5 against New England), Jets (+3 against Tampa Bay), Jaguars (+3 against Kansas City), Browns (+1 against Miami), Panthers (+3.5 against Seattle), and Chargers (+3.5 against Houston).
