The Bears and Giants will play in front of a national television audience tonight as the two traditional powers slug it out at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Per preseason week 3 custom, the starters for both teams are expected to play into the second half. The latest NFL Odds are expecting New York’s first stringers to be a little bit better as the Giants are a -3 against the spread home favorite. Another big match-up on this weekend’s docket is a Saturday showdown between the Colts and Redskins at FedEX Field (4:00pm ET kickoff, NFL Network). NFL Spreads have Washington listed as a -3.5 against the spread favorite in this highly anticipated exhibition battle.
Preseason Week 3 NFL Picks Match-ups -
Chicago Bears vs New York Giants (-3): The Bears and Giants are set to mix it up in a prime time battle in the Big Apple. Tonight’s game is scheduled to kick off at 8:00pm ET on CBS. The third preseason game typically serves as the biggest regular season primer and that should be the case tonight with Chicago and New York. The Bears may put a little more into this contest, particularly after the break, as the Giants have a number of banged up starters, including Jason Pierre-Paul, Hakeem Nicks, Michael Boley, and Will Beatty.
Indianapolis Colts vs Washington Redskins (-3.5): It is not often football fans pine for preseason fare, but tomorrow’s meeting between the Colts and Redskins is probably the exception. Fans will witness, in all probability, two future league stars in Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III. Both players have been impressive in the preseason with Griffin completing 9-of-14 pass attempts for 119 yards and one touchdown while Luck is 26-of-41 for 363 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions in his first two NFL outings. Tomorrow’s contest could feature a third quarterback star as well in Washington’s Kirk Cousins. The Redskins surprised a number of people by taking the former Michigan State standout in the fourth round of April’s draft, but he demonstrated why the team was so high on him in last week’s loss at Chicago. Cousins completed 18-of-23 passes for 264 yards and three touchdowns in the 31-33 setback.
