The Steelers, a 5-3 road team last season, are just 3-7 in their last 10 meetings with Denver, but they are 2-2 in their last four trips to Mile High, scoring a 28-10 win in November of 2009 and a 34-17 victory in an AFC Championship meeting with the Broncos in January of 2006.
Pittsburgh is 4-1 in season openers under Head Coach Mike Tomlin and it is 3-2 in road openers on Tomlin’s watch. The Steelers were embarrassed at Baltimore in last year’s kickoff contest, falling 7-35 to their hated division rivals as a one point underdog.
The Broncos opened at Mile High against the Raiders last season, John Fox’s first with the club; they lost the game 20-23 as a three point home favorite.
