San Francisco was far more impressive, going on the road to Green Bay where it whipped the Packers 30-22. The Niners held Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay’s potent offense to 324 totals yards. Alex Smith was efficient, as usual, completing 20-of-26 passes for 211 yards and two scores while running back Frank Gore tallied 112 yards and one touchdown on 16 carries.
There is no question the Lions have an explosive, quick strike offense, but San Francisco has proven under Harbaugh that it can handle such threats. The Niners have also been against the spread gold since the former Stanford front man took over last year, going 7-1 both straight up and against the spread as a home favorite.
