Vernon Davis caught touchdown passes of 21 and 23 yards from Alex Smith, who completed 20 of 31 throws for 226 yards and extended his franchise-record streak of passes without an interception to 216, leading the NFC West favorite Niners to their ninth straight win in the series.

Well the Vikings coaches think he’s ready for more carries. “We think he’s getting to that point where we can think about a few more carries,” Frazier said. “He’s getting close to that point, so we’ll see how he does this week in practice. … We’ve been rotating him and Toby every other series, but we’re going to see how he does this week in practice.”
