2012 NFL Schedule Week 4 & Betting Odds

by Thomas Jensen on Monday, September 24th, 2012

NFL Grass LogoSports-Odds.com is officially announcing that the current betting lines have been posted by the odds makers for every game on the 2012 NFL Schedule Week 4. Joe Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens (2-1) will play host to the winless Cleveland Browns (0-3) on Thursday Night Football which will kick off at 8:20 PM EST. The Ravens hit a last second field goal to beat the Patriots last week on Sunday Night Football while the Browns struggled against the Bills. The betting odds on this AFC North show down have Baltimore Ravens -12 point home favorites against the Cleveland Browns with the Total set at 44 points.

There are 7 early games on the 2012 NFL Schedule Week 4 that will be played on Sunday September 30th. One of the most interesting early games will feature the New York Jets (2-1) hosting the San Francisco 49ers (2-1) at MetLife Stadium. The Jets are coming off a big overtime win against the Dolphins in Miami while the Niners are looking to bounce back after being upset by the Vikings in Minnesota last week as 7 point favorites. The NFL betting odds makers have the San Francisco 49ers -3 point road favorites against the New York Jets with the Total set at 40.5 points.

Another early game to consider is the AFC West battle between the San Diego Chargers (2-1) and Kansas City Chiefs (1-2) which will take place in Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs are coming off a huge overtime win against the Saints giving Kansas City their first win of the season and the Chargers are looking to rebound after getting crushed at home against Falcons. We expect both squads to get up for the game since they are division foes. The odds makers have the San Diego Chargers -1.5 point road favorites against the Kansas City Chiefs with the Total set at 44.5 points.

After going 7-3 ATS in the last two weeks, Sports-Odds.com recommends checking out our Week 4 NFL Picks which will be free of charge.

There are 5 late games on the 2012 NFL Schedule Week 4 on Sunday. The biggest one that stands out to us will be the AFC West rivalry between the Oakland Raiders (1-2) and Denver Broncos (1-2) in Mile High Stadium. The Raiders had a 4th quarter surge against the Steelers to get their first win of the season last week and the Broncos came up short against the Texans giving Denver their second loss in the Peyton Manning era. With the chance at getting to .500 on the line, we expect both teams to come out guns blazing. The NFL odds makers have the Denver Broncos -5.5 point home favorites with the Total set at 47 points.

The NBC Sunday Night Football game will feature the two top NFC East teams when the New York Giants (2-1) head to the City of Brotherly Love to take on the Philadelphia Eagles (2-1) at Lincoln Financial Field. The Giants looked brilliant when they decimated the Panthers on Thursday Night Football last week and the Eagles could not get their offense going against the Cardinals in an embarrassing loss in Arizona. The Eagles have gotten their two wins by one point each on fourth quarter drives but Michael Vick struggled in Week 3 and could not get anything going. He will have to really step up his game against the Giants. Meanwhile, Eli Manning has been on fire putting up 1,011 yards in the air in and 4 touchdowns so far this season. The odds makers have the Eagles -2.5 point home favorites against the New York Giants with the Total set at 46.5 points. Note to our readers, the Eagles are 0-3 ATS this season and so far have been made the favorites in each of those games.

The ESPN Monday Night Football game will showcase the Chicago Bears (2-1) heading south to take on the Dallas Cowboys (2-1) in Cowboys Stadium. The Bears defense were able to bounce back with a win over the Rams after getting a beat down in Week 2 by the Packers on Thursday Night Football. The Cowboys also responded after being crushed by the Seahawks in Week 2 to beat the Bucs last week. The odds makers have the Dallas Cowboys -3 point home favorites against the Chicago Bears with the Total set at 44 points.
