Sports-Odds.com is excited to announce that the odds makers have opened the betting lines for all of the 2012 NFL Schedule Week 12. This week is very unique with the traditional three games on Thanksgiving this Thursday. The Detroit Lions (4-6) play host in Ford Field to the red hot Houston Texans (9-1) in the 12:30 PM EST game. The Lions dropped a close one at home last week 24-20 to the Packers. The Texans struggled but got a 43-37 overtime win against the Jaguars last week. The betting odds show the Houston Texans -3 point road favorites against the Detroit Lions with the Total set at 49 points.
After going 35-20 ATS on the season thus far, Sports-Odds.com recommends checking out our Week 12 NFL Picks which will be released free of charge for all readers.
The second Thanksgiving Day game is a battle between two NFC East squads when the Washington Redskins (4-6) head west to take on the Dallas Cowboys (5-5) at 4:15 PM EST. The Redskins manhandled the Eagles in a lopsided 31-6 win at home which saw quarterback Robert Griffin III throw 4 touchdowns. The Cowboys kicked a 4th quarter field goal to beat the Browns 23-20 last week. The NFL betting odds makers have the Dallas Cowboys -3.5 point home favorites against the Washington Redskins with the Total set at 47 points.
The last Thanksgiving Day game will feature two AFC East teams when the New York Jets host the New England Patriots in MetLife Stadium at 8:20 PM EST. The Jets beat the Rams 27-13 last week in St. Louis. The Patriots destroyed the Colts 59-24 in a game that saw quarterback Tom Brady throw for 331 yards and 3 touchdowns with two of them going to tight end Rob Gronkowski who broke his forearm in the game. The NFL odds have the New England Patriots -6.5 point road favorites against the New York Jets with the Total set at 49.5 points.
There are 8 early games and 3 afternoon games on the 2012 NFL Schedule Week 12 that will be played on Sunday November 25th. The most intriguing game we see on the board is in the NFC South when the Atlanta Falcons (9-1) take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-4) in Raymond James Stadium. The Falcons were able to get past the Cardinals in their 23-19 win last week. The Buccaneers beat the Panthers on the road in overtime 27-21. The betting odds have the Tampa Bay Buccaneers -1 point home favorites against the Atlanta Falcons with the Total set at 48 points.
The NBC Sunday Night Football Game features the Green Bay Packers (7-3) taking on the New York Giants (6-4) in MetLife Stadium at 8:20 PM. The Packers trailed the entire day against the Lions but were able to surge late to get the 24-20 win last week. The Giants had a badly needed BYE last week after dropping their last two games after winning the four previous. The NFL betting odds have the New York Giants -1 point home favorites against the Green Bay Packers with the Total set at 49 points.
The ESPN Monday Night Football Game features two struggling teams when the Philadelphia Eagles (3-7) play host to the Carolina Panthers (2-8) in Lincoln Financial Field at 8:30 PM. The Eagles looked pathetic in their 31-6 loss to the Redskins last week which featured rookie quarterback Nick Foles getting his first career start in place of the injured Michael Vick. The Panthers lost a heart breaker in overtime 27-21 to the Buccaneers. The odds makers currently have this game off the board because of the uncertainty around whether Michael Vick will return from his concussion to make the start so we will post the line here once it opens.
