Both games are important with all four teams still in the playoff chase and the Philadelphia/Dallas match-up will give one of the two squads sole possession of first place in the NFC East standings. A 1-5 stretch between September 28 and November 9 seemingly crippled Chicago’s season; however, it preserved its slim playoff hopes by registering back to back 21-13 home wins over the Vikings and Buccaneers. The Lions are in a better position, but they too are on the outside looking in regard to the playoffs, sitting seventh in the NFC’s overall standings with a 7-4 record. And unlike Chicago, Detroit does not have a lot┬ápositive momentum on its side. The Lions are coming off back to back road losses to the Cardinals and Patriots and they were humiliated 34-9 in Foxboro on Sunday.

Series Notes: Detroit has lost nine of the last 12 meetings between these two rivals; however, it won its tow most recent encounters with Chicago, scoring 40-32 and 21-19 victories.

NFL Betting Trend: The Lions are 5-0 straight up and 4-1 against the spread in their last five games playing as a home favorite on a Thursday.

Philadelphia Eagles vs Dallas Cowboys (-3, Over/Under 56): The Eagles have looked like a juggernaut on occasion this season, but they have turned in some meek performances as well. And unfortunately for Philadelphia, all of those came on the road where they lost 21-26 to the Niners, 20-24 to the Cardinals, and 20-53 to the Packers. The Eagles have not been all miss on the road, though, as they earned wins at Indianapolis and Houston. And the Cowboys have not been all hit at home either. All three of the Cowboys losses came within the confines of AT&T Stadium, where they are 3-3 on the season. In fact, the Pokes have dropped their last two home games, falling 17-20 to the Redskins and 17-28 to the Cardinals.

Series Notes: The Eagles are 1-3 in their last four games opposite the Cowboys; however, they are 3-1 in their last four games in Dallas.
